Gidi Baum's old Wulff surface code has been retrieved (from pre-1990 backups)
New MATLAB codes with well-documented GUI interfaces are ready to apply to
study the Wulff construction and create
cut crystals with interfaces having different types of twisted or tilted contacts.
These crystals are ready to use in future simulations.
Surface energies of the interfaces have been calculated and analyzed.
Vizualizations in AViz using bonds of predetermined lengths
enable quick viewing of interface natures.
- Twisted interface surface energy close to zero when rotation is zero.
- In infinite boundary case surface energy close to constant because no. of bonds do not change a lot while rotating.
- In the tilted case a much stronger angular dependence is seen.
