PERSONAL - A woman trying to be a Wife/Mother/Grandmother/Physicist
Married at start of second year undergraduate, earlier things here
Undergraduate - 3 different universities and 2 daughters.
Undergraduate project - ``Percolation''
Doctoral thesis - ``Magnetic models'' - 4 countries (same two daughters)
Postdoctoral - Technion - TelAviv - Technion.
Support from husband and some mentors (notably Profs. A. Aharony, A. Ron, M. Revzen and D. Stauffer). Difficulties caused mainly by Prof. A. Peres.
Daughters attended Ironi vav Haifa which did not have physics. Taught as volunteer
to get it started - from that class 3 Phds (2 Physics, one Computer Science) some highschool teachers out of initial 12 students, and 5 unit physics ever since.
Thanks to Elyasaf (youngest grandchild at left) who was my consultant on what is taught in school.
Today [ group webpage ] Computational Physics group - several female grad students, and I hope I have been able to help other female students, especially those with babies while studying.
Trying to support younger women???
