FIRST PART of the COURSE - PHYSICS
I bring physics in from the 2nd lecture.
Most of the physics is the sort that is relevant for engineering/maths/chemistry students too.
Students usually half non-physics grad students BUT Technion has 3 compulsory physics classes for most departments so its OK.
First physics topic is random walks which is good illustration of two different types of Computational Physics -
enumeration (series expansion)
The random walk codes and concepts taken from Gould and Tobochnik books; the graphics our (JA and AS) pgplot.
