- c code animation with PGPLOT

BRINGING in the VISUALIZATION, ctd

  • I want to motivate to visualize! not so important how.
  • Not MATHEMATICA for general physicist use - oriented to mathematicians; MATLAB good for engineers and neither is free.
  • PGPLOT is a physics (actually astronomy) code.
  • Again, guided examples and very little coding beyond parameter adjustment make it easy.
  • Although early PGPLOT projects were given to aid in preparing class material, more recently very few are given.
  • The exception, at left required animation, control of color and line visualization with good resolution. PGPLOT to the rescue.
  • Physicist codes - excellent resolution for axis labels and indicators. Both irritating to do properly with MATHEMATICA/MATLAB.
