Our FIRST MOVIE
For STATPHYS in Berlin (1992) I spoke on our group's first simulated annealing/molecular dynamics research project, (Silverman and Adler). Lennard-Jonesium, with locally reflecting boundary conditions.
We made the movie with Fortran/PGPLOT and filmed it with a B&W video camera borrowed from the Low Temperature lab.
PGPLOT is a free-for-academic-use graphical library for c and FORTRAN.
The movie was prepared by placing and erasing fonts on the screen.
A set of later versions of the images from our paper in ``Computers in Physics'', (1992), which will also be discussed in more detail in the next class.
